Antique English White Royal Ironstone Teapot by Alfred Meakin England c. 1875-1897 Zsinta

 

Description:    Over 120 years old, this white, ironstone teapot was made by Alfred Meakin, Tunstall, Staffordshire, England in the later 1800’s.  It stands proud at 8 ¼” tall with vertical, ribbed corners and a glossy, white surface.  Although this earlier piece does exhibit some crazing, it still is a functional, timeless treasure with a refreshing appearance.

Condition:   Previously owned – used. Condition is consistent with age and normal use.  No chips.  Crazing is present, more so on one side.  Crazing is present on bottom, inside and spout.  Inside does have some staining, light wear and a raised, discolored, sand or other deposit from the manufacturing process (as shown). 1/8” scrape with color loss on bottom of tip of spout.
