Description: In the earlier days, it could take many different wooden blocks to print that ideal design for a wallpaper hanging or textile printing. The details on this early printing block, most likely from the 1800’s are wonderful. The top layer is beautifully carved with a pattern and three additional layers of wood are attached with early hand-forged nails. The back features two deep carved-out sections to firmly hold the block when in use. Entire surface boasts wonderful character and natural aged patina.
