Product Description: Gaudy Welsh, (or Swansea Cottage, as the English know it as), hand-painted pottery known for their own bright and colorful palette was originally noticed in Staffordshire England around the 1820’s. This Gaudy Welsh creamer decorated in the “Oyster Pattern”, is one of the earlier patterns after the Tulip. On all sides, it showcases vivid colors in cobalt blue, russet, highlighted with touches of pink luster (copper appearance) on an off-white surface.

Condition: Previously owned – used. Condition is consistent with age. No chips or repairs. Most of colors are still vibrant. Color on rim is partially worn. Small rough spot on rim. Small nick on on rim of base. Crazing on interior and exterior surface which is normal and expected with the Gaudy Welsh pottery.
