Product Description:  This painted tinware canister was crafted and decorated by a tinsmith and japanner from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the mid to late 1800’s. I has been painted and japanned in black with gold tone decoration. The lid functions well with an embossed stamped; J. Hall Rohrman & Son Cherry St. Philadelphia. Very nice earlier collectible from the Northeastern Region.
