Product Description: Samuel Kind opened the doors of his retail jewelry store in 1872 and brought his sons into the business in the early 1900’s offering a a variety of jewelry and silverware. This exquisite, early set of 12 blunt bladed, luncheon knives by S. Kind & Sons Philadelphia, PA. features beautiful, pearly-white, mother-of-pearl handles with just a hint of a blend of pink and blue-green pearlescent swirls. The silver-plated blades are connected by an ornate sterling silver ferrule with a floral and scroll motif. One side of the ferrule offers a small area suitable for a an engraved monogram. This wonderful set has been left in original condition, unpolished for new owners.

Condition: Previously owned – used. Original condition, unpolished with patina. Surface scratches and some spotty dark marks on the silver-plate blades (photo 11). Edge nicks on 5 pieces of plated blades (shown in photo #10). 1/4″ scratch on side of one mother-of-pearl handle (photo #12). Small 5/8″ flat spot, chip or imperfection on another handle although still smooth area and can barely be seen (photo #13).
